all i want is cheesecake

After frantically searching around the house for my transmission wire (?) for my camera, I finally found it, in the most obvious of places. Isn't that typical? And because I hate losing or misplacing my things, even though it's something I do quite often, I was so relived when I finally found it. Peace, has been restored in my life. Plus this means I'll be able to update my blog again.

About a month ago I visited my dad in Oslo, which is about 8 hours away from my hometown of Stavanger. And even though my main point of the visit was to see my dad again, I have to admit, I did do quite a lot of shopping. Plus I discovered the world's best cheesecake. However, it was a bittersweet find, as I can only have it when I'm in Oslo. Sigh. But besides that, I had a wonderful time. It was so nice to see my dad again.

we'll have to see

Two pieces I've been had my eyes on the past couple of days. Aren't they absolutely divine? So simple, and yet so (excuse my cheesy choice of words) chic.

If I you see real life pictures of these two lovely items on my blog in the next couple of days, you'll know I've given into my materialistic needs.

Both by Danish brand, Ganni.

This is why friends never want to come to my house - I make them organize and sharpen my old pencils.

everything is new

After contemplating for a very long time, I've considered I should revive my old blog. And the reason why I've been so hesitant about starting up my blog again, is because I have had numerous blogs in the past, but I'm horrible at updating so my previous blogs have all died a slow, embarrassing death. But I'll give it another go, because I have always had a desire to be the proud owner of an inspiring, lovely and interesting blog.

And for my first entry I thought I'd write down five facts about myself, so you will get to know me better, even if it's just slightly.

1. I'm an only child, so whenever my parents and I would go on longer holidays and stayed in hotels, I spent my first few days, lurking around the pool, looking for potential playmates. Which resulted in me being very sociable as a kid, but as I grew older, I gradually became more and more introverted. And now I'm utterly horrible in situations where I meet new people.

2. Me and my boyfriend, Roger, have been dating for 4 years, and we first met at a Public Enemy concert. He's 4 years older than me, 185 centimeters tall, a faded ginger kid and he's studying to become a kindergarten teacher. I fell for his charming personality and looks, plus his ability to make me feel like everything is always going to be okay.

3. If I'm home alone and not listening to music, I'll turn on either the telly or a random Youtube video of someone talking, so I won't feel so lonely.

4. Two of my biggest regrets in life are sort of connected; not learning Chinese from an early age and never having a proper conversation with my grandmother before she died. She couldn't speak English, or even understand the slightest bit, and I never learned Chinese. Nevertheless, she was an amazing woman, and a great loss for the world. I'm just sad we never understood each other.

5. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to be a bit clumsy at times, or even just down right stupid. The picture below is a great example of that.
