almost there

Three exams down, and one to go. The one I had today, in statistics, went surprisingly well! Who would've thought. Now I only hope I didn't rush too much and made silly mistakes which will lower my score. But now that I think about, I don't want to think about it, and if I can help it I never want to think about statistics ever again.

Sorry I look so pissed off in the second picture, I was actually very happy. I'm not angry/annoyed/bored, Roger just caught me in a bad moment. He on the other hand looks so cute in his picture sigh. That's really high on my list of first world problems - looking bad in pictures. Taking about first world problems, I'm trying to think of what should be my one big buy when I'm in Singapore this summer. So far I'm stuck between this Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag and this Canon camera. What do you think?

tacky prints

Jeans: Bikbok, top: Monki

My favourite pair of jeans. The more the colour fades, the more I love them. The somewhat "matching" top I'm wearing has The New Black written on it. Normally I find print and text on tees rather tacky, but for no particular reason I made an exception when I bought this top, which is no way correlated to the fact that it was on sale.

And I know, wearing all black is not very fitting during such sunny weather, but it felt appropriate since I'm wearing a darker and more intense eyeliner than I usually do. Later on I'm actually going out (not clubbing, just getting out of the house), so I suppose the effort I put into drawing a cat eye won't go to waste. I concluded that a break was much needed, and since there's a concert tonight I found it hard to resist.

is this real life?

It's 25°C degrees out - in Stavanger, Norway. This may not seem as much if you live in a warm country, but for us Norwegians this is bikini worthy weather. Personally I haven't pulled out my bikini just yet, but I did wear a dress out for the first time this year. Pretty close to euphoric if you have lived in constant darkness for the past 9 months. Too bad I'm stuck inside most of the time during the day, preparing for my upcoming exam in statistics. Which reminds me, if you're a genius at probability, please contact me.

fruity milkshake

Here is a quick recipe for a banana x mango milkshake I made the other day. To be honest I prefer smoothies because they're more healthy, but it's nice to switch it up a bit.

Ingredients
1 1/2 banana
1 mango
5-7 scoops of vanilla yogurt ice cream
4 dl milk

Just chop up all the fruits and add them in the blender together with the rest of the ingredients. As you can see in the picture above I initially only added 2dl of milk, but realised I had to add 2dl more because the consistency turned out too thick.  So it's a good idea to give it a taste before serving to see if the taste and consistency is to your liking - if not, just add more of whatever is needed.
If you don't like banana or mango you can always replace it with something else.

I hope everyone is having a good day! It's actually 18 degrees (omg omg omg) out and I have a desperate need to wear shorts again.

Hanging out with my neighbour's cats, as you do. If I don't make it in the business world I'll happily retire early so I can fully devote myself to being a cat lady.

skin food

Just a quick little post to inform you that I'm still alive, I've just been really busy with my exams as it's that time of the year again. Urgh. Luckily my recent purchase from strawberrynet.com finally arrived. Previously I have been using Decleor and I'm an avid fan of their products, especially the Hydra Floral series, but this time I just felt like trying something new. Plus after long usage of the same product your skin will get accustomed to it and the effect will be lessened.

After a long and tiring search I finally ended up getting three products from Guinot, my first ever purchase from this brand. I couldn't seem to find a product that was a proper night cream, but it seems you can supposedly use the product both day and night. So I got one cream for dehydrated skin which I will use during the day, and a cream with a thicker consistency for dry skin which I'll use during the night. My first impression of them is positive, especially after hearing a good review about the Hydrazone Moisturising Cream for Dehydrated Skin. We'll see how this goes, but my hopes are certainly up.
