sg photo diary 2012

As you may or may not know, I spent three and a half wonderful weeks in Singapore this summer, along with my father. The main purpose was to visit our family, but I managed to squeeze in a few other activities as well. This included: experiencing my first Singaporean flea, buying a new camera, eating way too much, tanning, trying on weird headbands, getting my nails done, playing Ticket to Ride in game cafes, getting red-faced at Zouk, eating as much mantou as humanly possible, spending quality time with daddy, wearing the same Zara skirt over and over again and just generally having a good time.

My life in Singapore is usually relatively carefree. I try it treat it as my everyday life as opposed to a holiday to be honest, which means I don't shop as much, and have a limited interest in traditional tourist places. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Most of my time was spent joking around with my cousins. Usually they would try to teach me Hokkien words and phrases so I could impress daddy, which was just...perfect, and all I wanted from our visit.

A + J + T, I hope you're well, and I miss all three of you.

i swear i don't shop much

241112 To be honest I don't shop frequently (or at least that's what I tell myself), because I prefer investing in more high quality items that I know will last me a long time. Plus there's always that inner voice telling me to be a more responsible adult, and put them into my savings account instead. But once in a while, you stumble over something, that you know you just have to have in your life. The skirt in the top left corner is such an item. Obviously, being a student and all, I just didn't have the money. But after a month of going back on forth, I was delighted when I found the skirt on sale. And as much as I'm feeling relatively guilty right now, I'm sure I'll get my money's worth, because I will probably wear it do death.

Oh, and I bought a new Macbook as well. Currently I'm typing on my old black Macbook, that have seen me through thick and thin for several years, but I'm not sure how much longer it has left. So when I received my stipend (scholarship, kind of), I forked out the money for a new one. The rest are just some new skincare products I needed, and a plant - to liven up the picture.

1. Theory Lilory W skirt
2. Macbook Pro 13''
3. Nuxe Nirvanesque Contour Des Yeux eye cream
4. Kiehl's Panthenol Protein Moisturizing face cream
5. L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich body lotion
6. Kiehl's Gentle Foaming facial cleanser

Here are a couple of pictures from Ong residence. Daddy has a very distinct sort of style and taste in terms of interior, and this apartment is no exception. My favourite place would have to be the bedroom, which incorporates everything I love about interior design - white walls and a shortage of furniture.

Hope everyone is doing well, and good luck with your exams!

101112 Hello my name is 王丽玲 and I'm in Oslo right now. After I've finished this entry I'll watch Rush Hour 3 with daddy, who (on an unrelated note) gave me my birthday present early and it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll show it in another post once I'm back in Stavanger.

Have a nice Saturday.
