As you may or may not know, I spent three and a half wonderful weeks in Singapore this summer, along with my father. The main purpose was to visit our family, but I managed to squeeze in a few other activities as well. This included: experiencing my first Singaporean flea, buying a new camera, eating way too much, tanning, trying on weird headbands, getting my nails done, playing Ticket to Ride in game cafes, getting red-faced at Zouk, eating as much mantou as humanly possible, spending quality time with daddy, wearing the same Zara skirt over and over again and just generally having a good time.
My life in Singapore is usually relatively carefree. I try it treat it as my everyday life as opposed to a holiday to be honest, which means I don't shop as much, and have a limited interest in traditional tourist places. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Most of my time was spent joking around with my cousins. Usually they would try to teach me Hokkien words and phrases so I could impress daddy, which was just...perfect, and all I wanted from our visit.
A + J + T, I hope you're well, and I miss all three of you.

To be honest I don't shop frequently (or at least that's what I tell myself), because I prefer investing in more high quality items that I know will last me a long time. Plus there's always that inner voice telling me to be a more responsible adult, and put them into my savings account instead. But once in a while, you stumble over something, that you know you just have to have in your life. The skirt in the top left corner is such an item. Obviously, being a student and all, I just didn't have the money. But after a month of going back on forth, I was delighted when I found the skirt on sale. And as much as I'm feeling relatively guilty right now, I'm sure I'll get my money's worth, because I will probably wear it do death.

Hello my name is 王丽玲 and I'm in Oslo right now. After I've finished this entry I'll watch Rush Hour 3 with daddy, who (on an unrelated note) gave me my birthday present early and it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll show it in another post once I'm back in Stavanger.
